Perhaps the most mysterious and captivating species of birds, owls have inspired a sense of wonder and wisdom upon those fortunate to catch a glimpse. Though owls are shrouded in mystery, this workshop will shed light on these creatures so that we may begin to understand them better; their symbology, habits, unique characteristics, and more.
After this workshop you will have a familiarity of the species of owls in and around Kalamazoo, and be equipped with the tools to seek out these elusive birds in hopes of spotting one on your next birding adventure. You will also practice identifying various species of owls, both by sight and sound, and understand more about what exactly makes an owl, an owl.
All skill levels are welcome. Registration covers one adult. Birders 10 and under are welcome to attend free of charge.
